to help clean dried beans and keep
tortillas warm, but our customers are telling us about all different ways
they've used it. If you've come up with another way, let us know by emailing

Refried Beans
- Clean beans with your

- Place beans in crock pot
- Add 4 cups of water for every cup of beans
- Add 3 or so slices of bacon
- Cook for 6-8 hours depending on how hot your crock pot
gets
- When beans are soft and a solid light color you are
ready to refry
- Place frying pan on stove with medium heat. Lightly
cover bottom of pan with bacon grease or lard
- Add beans, add enough of the water from crock pot to be
level with the top of the beans
- Add about a ¼ teaspoon of salt (or as much as desired)
- Lightly mash beans, and let cook for about 5 minutes
- Thoroughly mash beans, the more the better it gives you
smoother beans instead of lumpy ones
- When top of beans start to dry over, mash again if
necessary and then place beans in a bowl
- Enjoy
- Beans should be slightly runny when removed from pan.
They will thicken as they cool
- Tip: Combine batches to help control saltiness of beans
